Suraksha Group Sets March 2028 Deadline for Jaypee Homes

Suraksha Group has said it expects to complete construction and hand over the remaining homes in the Jaypee Infratech projects

Suraksha Group has said it expects to complete construction and hand over the remaining homes in the Jaypee Infratech projects by March 2028, offering a potential completion timeline to thousands of homebuyers who have been waiting for possession.

The company is working to complete around 20,000 remaining homes across the Jaypee portfolio. Suraksha Group took control of Jaypee Infratech in 2024 following the insolvency resolution process.

So far, 84 towers comprising 7,913 units have reportedly been completed, with around 5,000 units already handed over to homebuyers. Possession of approximately 3,000 completed units is still pending.

Suraksha Group plans to invest around ₹3,000 crore over the next two years to accelerate construction and complete the pending projects. The overall funding requirement for the remaining work has been estimated at around ₹5,500 crore.

The March 2028 timeline could, however, be affected by regulatory developments. The company has indicated that a construction ban related to pollution, if imposed by the National Green Tribunal, could extend the timeline by up to six months.

The completion of the remaining Jaypee homes is expected to provide relief to thousands of affected buyers and could also give a boost to confidence in the Noida real-estate market.
