GPT Infraprojects Limited has received a ₹483.72 crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for the construction of a major railway bridge over the Mahanadi River in Odisha.

The project involves the construction of Important Bridge 544, a 32 × 65.84-metre open-web steel girder bridge at Chainage 406.305 km. The bridge forms part of the construction of the third and fourth railway lines between Nergundi and Barang in the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway.

The order was awarded by the Chief Project Manager, RVNL, Bhubaneswar. The project is scheduled to be completed within 1,095 days from the appointed date.

The new contract adds to GPT Infraprojects’ railway infrastructure portfolio. According to reports citing the company’s announcement, its outstanding order book has reached ₹4,992 crore, while total order inflow for FY2027 has reached ₹818 crore following the latest order.

The project is part of railway infrastructure development on the Nergundi–Barang section, where additional railway lines are being constructed to expand the existing rail network.

The latest order further strengthens GPT Infraprojects’ presence in railway infrastructure and bridge construction, with the company continuing to undertake projects involving railway bridges and related infrastructure.
